Jochem UytdehaageJochem Uytdehaage is a former Dutch long track speed skater and European, World and Olympic Champion. Now a motivational speaker and corporate trainer, his passion is to translate his knowledge and experience gained from skating athletics into the business world.

Uytdehaage was born in Utrecht, Netherlands. In 2002 he became the European all-round champion in long track speed skating. During the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, he made history in the 10km when he became the first ever skater to break the 13-minute barrier and consequently break the world record in a time of 12:58.92. He also made history by winning the gold medal in a new world record time in the 5,000 meter event and the silver in the 1,500 meter event.

In February 2007 he officially retired from his sport but remains involved. He founded Sporttop, which is a foundation that focuses on supporting young sporting talent to reach their peak performance. Jochem also launched his own company, The Uytdhaaging, which provides coaching and training for people involved in sports and lifestyle in order to get the most out of their sporting life.

Uytdehaage is also an ambassador of the NCFS, Dutch Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is involved in Skate4AIR, which is a skating event that generates money for CF research.
